This week I started to crimp new more compact wires to clean up the jump meter project and because the wires I had been using before weren't always reliable. Once I was done crimping the new wires, I also started using a different version of the IR Breakbeam Sensor, these sensors have a longer range, and a larger area to detect the IR light emitted from them. These can be used together with the shorter ranged sensors in order to still maintain the required distance for them to work, but also lower the final cost of the project, as the long ranged sensors are more expensive. Finally, I added another sensor to the code I had been using before, which had only used three sensors. However I did encounter some issues with the alignment of one of the sensors in the cardboard model, where it couldn't detect their counterpart on the other side, so I was unable to add a fifth one to the code.
