This week I worked on the light for the soldering station. This time however, despite it being the same type of light, is going to be set up much differently from the one that I installed in the machine shop, being on a stand this time. Gooseneck tubing will be attached to the light, connecting it to a base, making it more like a lamp. The light has two magnetic brackets on the back, which I'll be using to connect to the gooseneck. At first I created a bracket that would screw into nuts on held onto the magnetic rings on the back, This was not a foolproof design though, because the nuts could be moved around, which would knock the gooseneck loose. To fix this I designed a bracket that would be held in by magnets while being able to be screwed into the gooseneck tubing.
I also helped out my classmate Anthony Michael Cartolano with his jersey project. The frame was uneven, so I helped him sand it down to get it more straight. However, he needed to fill in some holes in the wood with wood putty, so my job was done.
